Hole of the Week #31 - The Pines Marsh Hole 3

"A great 4-par that begs for accuracy off the tee. Play to the middle of the fairway and choose your yardage well when playing downhill to this huge green." Do they all say this?

How about: "Hit a perfect drive right down the middle. Then choose the correct club and hit it three feet from the pin. Tap it in and then go drink your birdie beer while your fellow Cahoonas hack up the hole!"

I mostly remember this hole as having the first of many monster houses to come on the North woods courses. What a freaking palace. It was even there the first time we played when there was just a starter shack for a clubhouse.

What really sucks is that the place has probably appreciated a couple mil since we ponied up Pines green fees for the first time many moons ago.

I think I've only ever seen one birdie on this whole, never had one myself. Have had numerous forays in to the woods, carpart, railroad ties and pond. I did have the greatest bounce shot of all time here. Second shot was short, hit the rocks, then bounced straight up to about ten feet. Missed the putt, keeping my birdie-less streak intact.
