Dear Divot

Dear Divot:

I am trying to figure something out. I was recently on a golf outing with a group of friends. One day, in a druken stupor, one of the guys said that “we may not be Ivy Leaguers but we won’t starve in a wind storm”.

Everyone, including me, laughed at the comment. But I didn't get it. I didn't want to look stupid and ask.

What did he mean? What does wind have to do with hunger or starvation? Should I be concerned about wind? Should I have gone to an Ivy League school? Can I still eat pizza? Will Harvard beat Yale this year? Does this have something to do with being bilingual and speaking three languages?

Please advise.
