Hole of the Week #26 - The Preserve #10

Nothing like a a visit to the men's room to give a new perspective for the back nine. Just don't be long on your approach. Don't be right either. And be sure to put it tight because this green is like putting at the Cosmos. Fresh nine and I start it with a double every time. Oh well. It is a scenic hole and it beats the shit out of work!!!

I hit the greatest lob wedge of my life here last summer, and the ACO was a witness.

A crappy second shot had me on the near vertical slope behind the green, pin was tight on the back side so I was looking almost straight down in to the cup. Terrible lie and a stance only a billygoat could love. Pulled out the 60, took a soft, 3/4 swing and popped a lob straight up and down for a gimmee birdie. I don't think I'd ever even parred the damn hole before that. GIMME A BUD!

I was there for Grap's shot. It was a helluva a shot. I know I lost something on the shot. I think I might have bet against him staying on the green. It was that lie that reminded me that you don't want to be long. No Bud though. It is a par 4.

Yep, I thought it was a 5 par until reminded it was a 4 on the next tee. Drank the Bud anyway, that's just the kind of Cahoona I am.

Not to mention there aren't many birdie holes on the back side, Aces on #17 notwithstanding.

The Rules Committee will take that up but will also consider that it is submitted by the same clown who incessantly lobbies for a shot clock in South Dakota high school basketball. My suggestion is to continue to toast to yourself - much better chance of drinking than trying to do so after each of your good drives!

Anybody else ever notice how the ACO always mentions the FNG right after he says "blow me"?
